“Fifteen years ago I made Aliyah. I joined the Golani Brigade in the army. At the brigade’s ceremony for outstanding soldiers, I was a Lonely Soldier, a soldier without family. It would have been too difficult to bring my friends from Jerusalem. I felt alone since there was no one close to see me and hug me and my eyes were filled with tears. I was sad. This moment stayed with me for years. After I was released from the army, I decided to act and I established the Big Brother Organization for IDF Lonely Soldiers.”
