“At the age of 20 I did an officer’s course while serving in a combat unit. This unit had people who came from backgrounds with bad economic situations. My job in the unit was an assistant captain and in that job you learn to be the father and mother of the soldiers. I always thought only of myself and suddenly there are another 80 soldiers that you have to worry about. You discover that your life is like honey compared to others.”
